Funding Announcement:
Michigan Department of Environmental Quality Nonpoint Source Program
Grants
Application Deadline: October 30, 2007
On September 12, 2007, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality
(MDEQ) Nonpoint Source Program posted on its Web site its fiscal year
(FY) 2008 Request for Proposals (RFPs). The RFP includes over $5
million of state and federal grants for nonpoint source pollution
control projects.
Proposals are due October 30, 2007. The full text of the RFP, as well
as forms and instructions, can be found on the MDEQ Web site at
http://www.michigan.gov/deqnps. This information is also available from
Nancy Steffen, at (517) 373-9540, or stef-@michigan.gov. All
applicants are encouraged to read all parts of this RFP and carefully
follow the online instructions.
Grant awards arising out of this RFP are contingent upon the enactment
of sufficient funding in the FY2008 MDEQ budget and the sale of Clean
Michigan Initiative general obligation bonds to support these grant
programs, and all other necessary approvals.
