PROJECT SUMMARY:
-- I am teaching 7th grade geography and would like my students to be
able to be able to gather information about different cultures outside
of the United States. We would like to learn about your county and your
town/city.I have had other classes do this in the past with great
success. I am also open to a snail mail exchange of cultural artifacts

FULL PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
-- Students will be introduced to students from other countries and
will gather information about both the country and the town/city of the
cooperating classrooms. Information will range from standard items like
type of government, religions, etc to typical foods that are eaten,
favorite stories/movies, etc. We would also like to exchange a short
list of questions for the teacher to ask the students about the United
States and would like them to ask us questions about their country and
give us the number they got correct.
OBJECTIVES:
-- Our objective is to learn first hand what life is like in different
parts of the world and to compose a database comparing the different
countries in as many ways as possible. I would like to post this
information on my web site.

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:
-- This is an informal project where students as well as teachers can
communicate by e-mail. I have a list of information to learn about your
country. My classes will be composed of about 120 students which can be
broken up into many different groups to communicate with different
countries. My students are 11 to 14 years of age and I can guarantee we
will e-mail you back.
