FULL PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
-- Each participating classroom teacher will become a collaborator on
our Google map, and will be able to place a marker showing the location
of his or her school. We will also share the URLs of our classroom
websites, blogs, and/or wikis to encourage our students to communicate
and collaborate globally. Each classroom that joins our project will
have a page of their own in our wiki where they can share writing,
artwork, and information about their community.
OBJECTIVES:
-- Students will learn about different types of communities in a wide
range of geographical locations and will be able to share photographs,
artwork, audio and video files and writing as it relates to life in
their communities. We would like students to see the shared traits and
well as the diversity of communities around the world.

REGISTRATION DATES:

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:
-- Participants will need to set up a Google mail account (free) in
order to collaborate on our global community Google map. Participants
can be a single classroom or an entire school. Each participating group
will have their own page within our wiki and will be encouraged to
respond to posts on our blog. We would like all participating classes to
include the URL For their blogs, wikis and websites to encourage student
collaboration.
