RE: Hello!  Bob Knight

I have tried quite a few effects units and they are very fun to play
around with when I am just jammin by myself. But when I am jammin
with the gang (a bunch of very old rockers) any effects just seem to
really muddy up the sound. We do play rather loud.

I am using a 20 year old Boogie SOB with the original tubes.
I play a killer guitar made by a dude in Brazil. Very simple
guitar, 1 pickup, 1 knob (the go loud knob) and a whammy bar.
Depending on the venue I may add a little of the SOB's reverb.
The sound just really kicks/cuts/shreds.......

The only problem with my SOB is that it is only a single channel.
So I have to dial in a sound that is clean enough for rhythms, but will
break up a little for solos.

I have tried quite a few multi channel amps (big names and boutiques), but
nothing has come close to the SOB for it's live sound (not even Boogie).

If my SOB ever dies, I may have to take up the accordion.
