Dear Friends,
As you know, some shockingly harmful cuts to Medicaid (MaineCare) have
been proposed which would create incredible hardship and pain for
THOUSANDS of Maine's most vulnerable people and affect THOUSANDS of jobs
in Maine.
Here is something quick and easy you can do to help STOP these harmful
cuts and PROTECT Dirigo Health:
Please respond to today's online poll (link is below). As with most
'quick polls' the choices are not ideal. We ask you to choose the
option to 'raise taxes' rather than 'scale back Dirigo Health' or 'cut
Medicaid programs' for our neediest citizens. A tax that has been
publicly discussed by policymakers is the tobacco excise tax -- not
property or income taxes.
