David Attenborough on Andrew Denton  John Perkins
 Sep 23, 2003 22:45 PDT

On Monday David Attenborough, the veteran TV natualist, was interviewed by
Andrew Denton. One of the questions was, given his extensive experience of
nature, did he marvel at god's creations? Attenboroght said that he did
marvel at them, but if they were god's creations, then so was the parsite
in Africa, whose sole means of existence was to eat its way through the
human eyeball, sending people blind. He said that if all things were
created, including this parasite, then he was unable to reconcile this with
the concept of a benevolent god.

Good answer!
