For many years I have sought in vain for a Christian Womens PRINT magazine like this www.geocities.com/joyfulhelpmeetathome/maginfo.html whose editors are KJV, Bible Believing Baptists. When you are seeking ENcouragement, and have to wade through doctrinal differences, or KJV bashing, it gets pretty discouraging. I've been there. The Lord has put a tremendous burden on my heart to fill the void. This newletter is my meager attempt to to bridge the gap between the staunch, manly, mostly doctrinal newsletters and the "fluffy" "let love everybody" type of womens magazines.
The only doctrine I will be teaching are those that pertain to women according to Titus 2:3-5, "The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." Also, Proverbs 31 and I Peter 3:1-7.
The primary purpose is to encourage, uplift, aid, and guide my Beloved Sisters in Christ to reach their full potential as Christian Women, Wives and Mothers. Spiritually we will include articles, sermons, poems, links to websites et al to help us examine our hearts and lives, and how we measure up according to God's Holy Word.
Practically we will cover the areas of child training, cooking, sewing, crafts, home-making, homeschooling, health, nutrition, herbs, pregnancy, childbirth, miscarriage, thriftful living, etc....if it has anything to do with being a woman, a wife, or a mother, we will eventually cover it.
Lordwilling, this will go out about once a month. That's my goal. Being a wife, and a homeschool mom to 6, my time is not my own. So there may be times when I only "publish" once every 2 or 3 months.
