League Friends,
We in the Ohio Bicycle Federation look forward to 2007 with optimism
following an encouraging 2006.
Ohioans purchased over 1,500 Share the Road License Plates during 2006,
so that the free publication of Ohio Bicyclng Street Smarts will
continue. I want to thank our friends in Florida for sharing their
wealth of good ideas on promoting the sale of plates.
We in the Ohio Bicycle Federation shepherded our House Bill 389 through
the Ohio House and Senate. Governor Taft signed the bill into law
during the 2006 Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure (GOBA) Opening ceremonies.
The new law became effective in September, upgrading the
treatment of cycling operation in the Ohio Revised Code to the better
rules in the Uniform Vehicle Code and making cycling law uniform
throughout Ohio.
