+++ JIM CORNETTE'S EXIT FROM TNA AND WHAT REALLY HAPPENED? Rumors were
floating around that there was some type of a blow up backstage in TNA
that caused Dixie Carter to get rid of Jim Cornette. This was not the
case. Carter and everyone within TNA Management have opened up the
possibility of Cornette returning at any time in the future. But the
problem is Cornette is not with the direction they are taking and is not
supportive of Vince Russo at all. Cornette has made it perfectly clear
that he wants absolutely nothing to do with anything Russo is involved
in and since Russo has total control over the product now (with Jeff
Jarrett out of the company) that means Cornette likely wanted out of his
contract and got his wishes. Cornette has since started back up with
Ring of Honor and has been put in place as a figure-head TV Producer to
have power of authority on camera but is not involved in the heavy day
to day booking duties. He may help out on creative from time to time
but he has nothing to do with it on a full time basis.

As far as Cornette going back to WWE? Never say never is the type of
attitude you have to have when these things happen in pro wrestling.
Cornette would be brought back to WWE with open arms if Vince McMahon
thought it was good for business and he wouldn't blink an eye while
making that decision. This is the same guy that hugged Eric Bischoff on
RAW because it was good for business. I don't think Cornette is on WWE's
radar right now but with Linda McMahon moving towards a political career
and Vince needing to focus more timed away from creative that means they
have a spot to fill on the creative side, but not as a main booker.
Cornette very well could fit that role and the extra added benefit of
having Cornette on the pay roll is he could even double as a color
commentator on television or a General Manager type for Smackdown or ECW
TV.

+++ RAW TONIGHT AT 9PM ON USA NETWORK. Rev. Al Sharpton is your
controversial guest host for the night and this will be the strangest
RAW in the history of the show.
