+++ WWE HELL IN A CELL PPV RESULTS & THOUGHTS. Matt Hardy beat Mike
Knox in the opening match.
Undetaker beat Cm Punk to win the World Title in Hell in a Cell.
Standard match and they did absolutely nothing outside of the cell and
Undertaker ended up getting a dominating win. Not sure why he got the
belt since he can't work full time and has a hard time even working a
match these days. I suppose the thought was he had to win because he's
The Undertaker.
John Morrison beat Dolph Ziggler to retain the IC Title. Very strong
match out of the two but the crowd was not in to it at all. It wasn't a
big deal that Ziggler did not win because he is going to be ina a
program with Morrison anyways.
Mickie James beat Alicia Fox to retain the diva's title in a decent
women's match, they kept it short.
Chris Jericho & Big Show beat Rey Misterio & Batista to retain the tag
titles. Surprise they retained since UT won the World Title and Batista
v. UT isn't happening. Misterio was boo'd and so was Batista. Big Show
with the KO punch to Misterio for the win.
Randy Orton beat John Cena in Hell in a Cell to win the WWE Title. Again
nothing outside of the cage and when Orton won you'd think he was a
superface as the audience loved it. I think they need to turn him
babyface and just let him be a kick ass babyface that keeps dominating.
I think they teased it in a backstage promo. Orton won with the kick
punt to the head but Cena didn't sell it as if he was dead and was awake
at the end staring down Orton.
Drew McIntyre beat Ron Killings in a standard match that wasn't bad but
following the Orton-Cena match killed any hopes of anyone caring about
it.
Kofi Kingston beat Miz & Jack Swagger to retain the US Title. Decent
match but again no one cared about it due to where it was put on the
card.
Degenration X beat Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes. The story was Legacy
locked HHH out of the cage and destroyed HBK until HHH got bolt cutters
and then locked DiBiase out and helped HBK win the match for DX. I
hated the fact DX won but they had to win to get the feud to move on.
Overall the show was good and the wrestling quality was beyond good.
The problem with the show was the placement of the matches and the fact
that the placement killed any momentum that the show could have. And
nothing seemed to stand out or mean anything.
+++ RAW TONIGHT AT 9PM WITH BIG BEN AS THE GUEST HOST. They have to
build towards the bragging rights PPV and it certainly appears Randy
Orton v. Undertaker might be immenent for both titles. If this was to
happen then it would make all the sense in the world to build off of the
pin UT got on Orton on the tenth year anniversary show and also change
the title to Orton holding both the belts and run with a unified version
of the World title on SD & RAW for the future. What would that mean for
ECW? no idea. But it wouldn't make sense for UT to get another belt or
keep the one he has since he can't work full time and his hips are
messed up big time more then ever now. UT would be best served for
saving himself for WM and working another big time match based around
the streak and not trying to work full time.
