+++ SMACKDOWN TONIGHT AT 8PM ON MNTV. Build towards the next PPV begins
tonight on Smackdown. Cm Punk confronts Teddy Long about a title
rematch and Vince McMahon announces the booked title match for the next
PPV.

+++ UMAGA PULLS OUT OF DATES. Umaga pulled out his planned dates he was
booked on and has told friends he is headed back to WWE. WWE released
Umaga when he requested a release from his contract because he was not
happy with the direction his character was headed in. The obvious place
for Umaga to return would be RAW if they give the title to Cena since
there aren't any other heels in the brand to take him on, outside of
Randy Orton. But if Orton remains the top act on the show with the
title then Umaga's return is immenent to Smackdown where he could take
on either Undertaker or Batista for the SD title.

If Umaga was to return to WWE he would likely be off the Hogan
Australlia tour and that might open up the debate as to whether or not
WWE was bringing him back to hurt Hogan's tour.

+++ GUEST HOST HATERS. For those fans that dislike the entire premise
of the Guest Host spot on RAW, it isn't going to be going anywhere
anytime soon and the thing about the guest host spot is that there are
so many people that are famous that could host the show that it could go
on for an endless period of time if the company wants to continue to
utilize it. One of the major things that the spot being created has
provided WWE with is avenues to get over on shows they would never be
talked about on. I.E. entertainment and news outlets that plug the
guest host, like Al Sharpton or Big Ben appearing on the show. Even if
the report is negative in nature it doesn't matter because the key thing
that has happened is WWE is being mentioned to an audience that may not
know where they are at or what they are and that exposure could bring in
new viewers. Bottom line is even things were gained through putting
Sharpton on the show then ratings revenue or media attention and that is
political points with Sharpton and his followers and that may not pay
off today or tommorrow but it will down the road.
