+++ RAW NOTES. I am not going to have a full report on the show. The
way they put over the Smackdown team in the segment with DX it painted
them in to a position where if the young guys on the Smackdown side did
not win then they would have been cut short and buried beyond repair in
my estimation. For that reason it made all the sense in the world that
what happened at the SD taping rectified that situation (more on this in
the SD taping spoilers). I thought all of the work on RAW was good to
great and the in ring product was excellent. Snoop's interaction on the
show did contain drug references with Jillian Hall even singing one of
Snoop's old gangsta songs. I thought he wasn't utilized in the best way
possible but did like how he got physical in the ring and think one of
those is going to HIT towards a possible WM cameo down the road. I just
doubt it will be Bob Barker v. Chris Jericho.

Kofi Kingston speaking with out the accent tells me they are serious
finally that they think he has what it takes to be on top in the future.
Lets face it he wasn't going to be pushed seriously if he was not able
to cut twenty minute english promo's with out a heavy accent that they
think doesn't allow him to be taken seriously. It is the same reason
why Umaga was never given a chance to shine on top because he did not
talk and they don't have faith in male managers these days for some
reason. Irony is that Kofi began to talk for himself in a fashion to
put himself over for the big title on the same show they paid honor to
one of the greatest male mangers of all time, Capt. Lou Albano. Shame
on who ever it is within WWE that doesn't think there is a place for
more Albanoi's.

Watching Hornswoggle dance in the ring with Snoop and the women told me
a story of a talented guy that is not being used correctly by WWE. HS
has a ton of talent and like Paul Wight he has the charisma and natural
comedic talent to be something special in films and WWE doesn't seem to
understand that. I'd love to see them do a movie with Paul Wight and
Hornswoggle (i.e. something along the lines of a "Twins" remake).

Enough of RAW. It is about the PPV and that is why I did not do a full
report. If they announced the guest for next week I missed it. And I
did not forget about the Cena v. HHH scmozz. But I don't want to write
about it.

+++ MAJOR SMACKDOWN/PPV SPOILER IN THIS SD TAPING REPORT. The 7 on Team
SD was deleted and replaced by an entirely new field. That was why
Chris Jericho was on ECW last night looking for recruits (more on where
that is leading as well later). Chris Jericho said they had a 4-5 match
set up for later in the show with the members on team SD going against
non members and if the members lost they were all off the team. Shad was
"sick" so he wasn't at the show to take part in the match so it was 4-5.
In that match Eric Escobar & Dolph Ziggler & JTG & Drew McIntyre lost
to Matt Hardy & The Hart Dynasty & Finlay & Ron Killings in a long
match. Now being knocked off this PPV isn't a bad thing because it
tells me that the RAW squad probably goes over and they did not want the
young guys on the original team jobbing. Dooms the new SD team though.
But I also think there is more quality in the new team and less chance
of the audience crapping all over the match.

Scott Armstrong tried to bail on his part in the main event but Vince
stopped him. It looks more and more like the plan for WM is to have
Undertaker's streak against Vince McMahon and likely with another added
stipulation thrown in to that match.

John Morrison beat Mike Knox and then promoted the PPV.

They did a segment with Mickie James & Michelle McCool & Beth Phoenix &
Mae Young and Young attacked McCool.

Batista & Rey Misterio beat Kane & Chris Jericho when Misterio
sacrificed his health to give Dave a chance to win the match.

McMahon hyped the main event and pretty much guaranteed he was behind it
all and heading to a match against Undertaker at WM (lame). He told
Scott if he did his bidding then maybe just maybe his dad got in the HOF
this year. Now thats a cool line.

Mickie James beat Layla.

Tribute to Lou Albano.

Cm Punk lost to Undertaker by submission with them teasing the fix was
on but it never happened because Armstrong got ko'd and a second ref
came down.

BTW: Jerry Lawler did commentary with Michale Cole since Todd Grisham
was on his honeymoon and Jim Ross was ill.

+++ JR UPDATE. Ross suffered another set back as he had another attack
of Bells Palsy and was sent home to seek medical attention and wants to
do the PPV this Sunday but no one knows if he can or not. Since Grisham
was being given time off for his honeymoon that left them short and the
fill in was Lawler. If Ross can't do the PPV then it means we will get
a healthy dose of Lawler doing that for the entire show. Yawn. Maybe
its time to make a call to JBL.

+++ ECW THOUGHTS. Yoshi Tatsu becoming #1 contender by beating Zack
Ryder was wise and it would also be a wise decision to give him the belt
next week over Christian, even if only for one or two weeks. He is on
the cusp of being something special if he is handed a title run.

Abraham Washington show was cut short by Chris Jericho who was looking
for Tiffany, they turned Jericho babyface LOL.

Rosa Mendes told Tiffany she has experience with doing tons from RAW and
she is here to do anything and then Jericho came in and Tiffany wondered
why he was there when he was not invited. He told her he was scouting
talent for his team and she told him he couldn't just do that because
she ran the show. She told Chris he could watch the show or simply
leave but was not going to cherry pick her talent roster for his team.

William Regal and his boys were upset at Tiffany allowing Tatsu to
become #1 contender before he got another crack at the belt. Jericho
was back in and Jericho wanted to talk about his team. Tiffany was upset
that he did not obey her orders and Jericho told her that he was 1/2 of
the unified tag champions and that meant he could go on all three brands
if he wanted and she couldn't do anything about it. She agreed and told
him he would be working on the show against Christian.

Sheamus v. Jt Quinn ended in a no contest with Shelton Benjamin ran in
and destroyed Sheamus.

Paul Burchill came out and demanded Gregory Helms come to the ring and
hand over his mask since he was destroyed last week. Helms comes out
and it isn't him when he unmasks and the real Helms attacks from behind
with kendo sticks.

Christian beat Chris Jericho in a good match.

+++ MORE ON SHANE MCMAHON. The thing that is odd about this entire
situation is that no one is talking about it and there is a slight
chance that this entire deal is actually a working angle. If it is a
working angle then most of it will be kept between Vince & Shane and
nobody else and in the end it will simply appear that Shane McMahon has
invested his own money in acquiring assets to open up his own business
that competes against his fathers business. It could be possible that
the entire ECW brand could actually be headed to independent land and
utilized in more of a capacity that Shane pitched years ago, of which
his father decided against. That could also be why they have been doing
the deal where ECW has been ignored for the PPV and Tiffany was upset at
Jericho just walking on to the show when he was not apart of it.

+++ POSSIBLE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOLDBERG & WWE ON THE MEND? There is a
strange outside chance that Bill Goldberg will attempt to negotiate a
deal to work a one shot deal at WM because he wants to work one more
time inside the ring with his son being able to watch from ringside. It
doesn't make sense for him to do it in TNA because he is looking for a
big check as well. My only thought here is that if WWE has the chance
to get Goldberg then they ought to spend the cash and hype him as the
guy that could not lose to book v. Undertaker at WM. Imagine if he came
in and started talking about streaks and how he knows all about streaks
and how he is going to end Undertaker's streak. Now that may not be the
greatest match of all time quality wise but if the hype was cool enough
and heavily favored putting over Goldberg as a legit threat to
Undertaker then it would DRAW a legion of fans that used to watch WCW as
well as WWE. Goldberg is not in demand overseas anymore so it isn't
likely he could get a deal to do the shot in Japan or Europe and TNA
likely doesn't have the money he wants.

+++ JEFF HARDY UPDATE. Hardy has seemingly gotten the itch again to
wrestle according to sources and isn't considering on working for anyone
but WWE but now he has to wait until his legal issues go away and that
likely isn't about to happen prior to WM.
