RE: Let's see if anyone is still out there (Kisto Problem).  Steve

One of the guys on the Linn Forum got it and it was something so simple I
can't believe I missed it!

The guy's girlfriend in trying to mute accidently hit the balance and
deducted 10 from the left side of the room.

I know a dumb thing not to catch but it always the simple things! :)

Hi Stephen,

Have you tried reflashing the software and resetting back to factory
defaults?

Sounds like it may be software related, but there are so many parts within
Kisto that it is impossible to give you an answer to what the problem is.
Really all that can be given is what to try to ascertain where the problem
is.

Have a look inside to see if any boards or connectors have become loose.

Cheers,
Stuart

Trying to trouble-shoot a weird issue on a Kisto...seeing if anyone has
any
ideas, well besides sending it in.

When first checking out the system I found that the left front and rear
speakers are dead, no sound at all.

So I re-booted the Kisto, still the left side of room has no sound.

I then went into calibrate in the system setup under speakers, all
speakers
will emit white noise, even the left ones.

Apon exiting setup, only the right front speaker will now sound but all
other speakers are dead until I re-boot the Kisto again, then we're back
to
the left side of the room is dead.

Any ideas?

TS
