As root give: dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86, and select the
configuration that suits you!

 Hello Thinkpad Linux Enthusiats,

I'm new to the list, and have been attempting to install X windows on
a T30. I'm running GNU/Debian 3.1 and there are three problems when
going through the setup menus for configuring X:

1. Cannot recognize keyboard type - not sure which one to use for a laptop.
2. Cannot recognize trackpad and/or trackpoint. I prefer the trackpad.
3. Cannot setup screen frequency.

Anyone with Debian on T30 experience able to offer some pointers to
get me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance,
W!
