Nancy,
Our library also has webct vista on our campus and we've had e-reserves
for a while. The latest implementation is that instead of creating
separate "index" pages for readings, we are incorporating the readings
directly within the faculty's vista course shell. Basically, we place
the readings in a folder within the faculty's course and it is up to the
faculty member to move the readings where they choose within their
course. The biggest advantage to this is that the faculty member can
"keep" this list of readings and not have to request them each semester.
The downside is that service desk staff are not able to as easily help
students with e-reserves access issues since we will not have access to
their vista course. This new procedure is still in the beginning phases
and we are still working out some bugs.
I am definitely not the main person involved in this implementation but
am happy to direct you to others who are more involved and can provide
you with more insights.
Best of luck,
MArtha Portree

for e-reserves and what services they provide to faculty members in doing this.
Thanks.
