Hi
I am looking for librarians or other information professionals who would be
willing to share their expertise and experience with copyright and
courseware management systems for a spring semester LOCI meeting (date and
location TBA). Topics could include, but would not be limited to,
instructional materials used in CMS courses, course reserves, digital
rights management, CMS vs. coursepacks, persistent links to articles,
copyright permission, librarians' role in copyright oversight...
If you or someone you know might be interested in presenting on this topic,
please contact me at jkin-@uri.edu. LOCI meetings are generally half-day
sessions usually held at Tufts University in Boston.
Thanks
Jim
I am looking for ideas and presenters for the spring LOCI meeting. In
particular, anyone who can present on copyright issues involved with course
management systems. What are the copyright requirements for instructors who
use CMS? Are requirements any different for course reserves that are
accessed through CMS? What roles do librarians have in CMS copyright issues?
Digital rights management, copyright, and intellectual property
