I'm trying to build a 451 disc rear wheel. Has anyone on the list tried
this in the past? I'm planning on making an aluminum hub and using an
aluminum rim, a la Aerospoke and a few others, then using a foam core
and wedges of CF fabric. I plan on having 16 wedges (gores) per side and
also using 16 roves of CF to act like spokes.
I'm having a few problems in the design phase, related to the
manufacturing phase. Specifically I'm concerned with the bond between
the CF sides of the wheel and the aluminum hub.
