I think if you are looking at the fastest nonfaired hpv record you would
have to consider the fastest "pre-rollback to non aero bars" UCI record.
Probably held by Boardman or Romiger(sp?). I believe it was around 53
kilometers,or 33 miles. I don't recall any bent riders officially beating
this, though the Europeans may have. And that would be using TFs. Mr.
Geyer is the fastest I know of in the U.S. and I think he'll admit to
being quite a way from 33 miles in a standing start hour.
Jeff, who do you think might be capable of breaking this record?
I'm quite interested to see what John C. comes up with. I think the No
Com is probably the best current bike for setting a nonfaired record. Is
John cooking up something better than that?

I'm building a fast bike that I wish to sell copies of, or as
near copies
as can be done with customm fit. Does anyone know what the
current record
id for the hour, unstreamlined? I knoe the UCI record is just
over 50km,
and the IHPVA record is over 80km, but I can't find anything
in between.
I suspect this would fall under Warren's "Recumbent Racing"
organisation,
but I don't have the URL anymore.

Judging by the "existing" 1 hour record, I expect we'll set a new
record
this weekend at the Portland Human Power Challenge.
