Probably held by Boardman or Romiger(sp?). I believe it was around 53
kilometers,or 33 miles. I don't recall any bent riders officially beating
this,though the Europeans may have. And that would be using TFs. Mr.
Geyer is the fastest I know of in the U.S. and I think he'll admit to
being quite a way from 33 miles in a standing start hour.

The old UCI aero bike record is still held by Chris Boardman - 56.37 km
/ 35.04 miles. Best tail-faired recumbent performance 53.43 km / 33.21
miles by Leo de Nooier and best "naked" recumbent 46.79 km / 29.08 miles
by Kees Bakker and Michael Knap, though I suspect there may have been a
certain amount of drafting going on for the latter...
