2. RULES
The regatta will be governed by the ICSA Procedural Rules (Fall 2001-Spring
2005), the ISSA Procedural Rules (as modified by the PCISA), the 2001-2004
Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions of US SAILING; the rules of the CFJ
Class or PCIYRA regarding Collegiate FJ's (except as any of these are altered by
the Sailing Instructions, or the ICSA/ISSA Procedural Rules); and by the
Sailing Instructions.
3. FORMAT & ELIGIBILITY
College Fleet
One Team (A & B) CFJ Division may enter from each ICSA member school
previously approved by the ICSA intersectional coordinator.
High School Fleet
The regatta will be sailed in two flights a gold flight and a silver flight,
each flight with an A division and a B Division. Flight allocation will be
done by PCISA.
A and B divisions in both fleets will sail separately (i.e. College A then
High School A - rotate boats - College B then High School B).
4. BOATS
College Fleet
Each team entered is responsible for providing "one" PCIYRA legal CFJ and
PCIYRA legal set of sails for this event. Outside California schools will be
provided a boat and sails by the host.
High School Fleet
Each team is responsible for providing one class legal CFJ. Sails will be
provided by the PCISA. Some boats may be available for charter from the host at
$150 each. Contact Mike Segerblom to arrange. All boats will be entered in a
round robin format!!

6. HOUSING
A limited amount of housing on boats at the U.S. Sailing Center may be
available for college sailors. Contact Mike Segerblom to arrange. The closest and
most convenient hotel is the Sea Port Marina Hotel that can be reached at
www.seaportmarinahotel.com .
7. ENTRY
The entry form must be completed and returned to Mike Segerblom at the US
Sailing Center, Long Beach by January 5, 2005. At the discretion of the organizer
entries may not be accepted after this date. Entry fees may be paid at
registration on Saturday Jan. 8th provided the Entry Form was postmarked, or
received on or before January 5, 2005.
8. ENTRY FEES
Entry Fees are $60.00 per team (College or H.S.). The entry fee includes 4
dinners per team.
Additional dinners available at $10.00 each. (Reservations by 10:00 AM
1/08/05).

9. SKIPPER'S MEETING AND SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
There will be a skipper's meeting at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2005
on the patio at ABYC. Sailing Instructions will be available at registration.
10. SAILING AREA
The sailing area for the college and High School Gold divisions will be in
the turning basin off of ABYC. The High School Silver divisions will sail in the
turning basin off of the US Sailing Center.
11. DECISIONS OF THE JURY
Decisions of the jury will be final in accordance with RRS Rule 70.4.
12. TROPHIES
Trophies will be awarded to teams placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each
division/fleet.
13. DINNER
There will be a dinner at ABYC on Saturday, Jan. 8th immediately after racing
for all participants, family, friends and guests. The entry fee includes
four (4) dinners. Additional dinners will be available at $10.00 per person.
Additional dinner reservations must be made by 10:00 AM on Jan. 8, 2005.
14. PARTICIPATION
With the exception of RRS Rule 4, each school shall compete in all scheduled
races. Any school breaking this rule, without permission of the Race
Committee, is subject to severe disciplinary actions by the PCISA/PCIYRA.
15. COACHING
All coaching shall be done from either:
a.) the dock at ABYC; the dock at the US Sailing Center; or
b.) the beach adjacent to ABYC and/or the US Sailing Center
Any spectators on the water shall have no contact with any competitor except
when rendering assistance under RRS Rule 1.1, or as instructed by the Race
Committee.
16. COLLEGE SAILING FORUM
There will be a short presentation on Intercollegiate Sailing following
dinner on Saturday night. Students and parents interested in information about
college sailing in general, or specific collegiate programs should plan to attend.
All colleges should plan to be represented.
