All,
January 12th is the deadline for having changes made to the schedule before
the Annual Meeting. After that date, no changes will be made until the
meeting.
I will send the schedule as it stands to the MAISA list in the Excel format.
I suggest that you study the schedule for changes you may wish to make and
then submit them to me when you arrive at the meeting. I will make those
changes on a first come-first-served basis.
We will address the schedule in the open meeting to finalize it. However,
please be aware that the decisions concerning your schedule are best made
before the meeting in consultation with your team members and not in the sometimes
confusing atmosphere of the open meeting.
Please be aware also that any events you drop now will not incur the
attendant fee. All entries on the final draft will obligate the school for the fee.
Plan now to avoid fees for events that you are unlikely to attend.
So, the message is to think ahead and we can keep the Annual Meeting short
and smooth while giving each school as many of the events they want as
possible.
Thanks to all for their cooperation and extra effort in accomplishing our
scheduling. Those of us who were involved with the scheduling meeting were of
the impression that teams were giving more thought to their event selections
and this will certainly result in better competition at events, fewer no-shows
and fewer withdrawals.
