Well, there are examples of where they are used intentionally and
examples of where they simply exist.
West Roxbury Parkway, Turtle Pond Parkway, Eneking Parkway are a
designated bikeway, art of the Claire Saltonstall Bikeway.
Part of Western Avenue near the WGBH studios has wide outside lanes
without parking.
Outside Boston proper, many DCR parkways are like this: an example:
Mystic Valley Parkway in Medford and Winchester.
I'm sure there are many other examples, though few that are
designated specifically to accommodate bicycling
