* PEER COUNSELOR - Waverly Place - Part time (16 to 20 hours/week) -
Needed for empowerment oriented adult psychiatric rehabilitation
program. Will join multi-disciplinary staff assisting individuals with
vocational, social, and life skills on site and in the community. Works
in the milieu and with individuals, leads groups, and helps run various
Waverly activities. Preference given to candidates with interest and
skills in horticulture and horticulture as therapy. Position available
September 2006. Requirements: At least high school education. Some
experience in supportive or educational role preferred. Has good
interpersonal skills and ability to use personal experience with mental
illness for education and support of others. Grade 9.
