# 136 - Diary of a Worm - 3.15.06  Bi-Weekly Science Lesson Plan List
 Mar 07, 2006 19:04 PST

Hi everyone,

I just got this great book for my boys called "Diary of a Worm" by
Doreen Cronin and I thought that it would be a great book to use as part
of your worm unit, especially if you get to dissect one!

Here is a lesson from Scholastic for grade K-3 - this would be a gret
opportunity to do some cross-grade curriculum. Why not have your middle
schooler adopt a kindergartener or first grader and have them do some
activities together?

Here is a great detailed lesson plan for use with younger kids:

Here is a fun role playing lesson about the different types of worms
that students study in their life science class. What I did was print
out the interviews, cut and paste the interviews onto a few pages to
save paper and make photcopying easier, then I made a class set of
copies.

Choose 2 students to role play each interview, discuss and answer
quesions after each interview.

There are also other links on the worm page that offer more information,
esp about Earthworms.
