Hi everyone,
Its that time of year again, time for Frog Dissections for most of you
Life Science teachers out there!
Way back when I did frog dissections, I used the frog sandwich idea with
my 7th graders, but I didn't have a template for them to use, I just
ended up using images from the Zoology coloring book, but I wasn't happy
because the kids didn't have the same view for each system. Luckily,
one of the teachers in the discussion group posted this link to a modern
version of the frog sandwich.
What is a Frog Sandwich anyway?
It is a collection of diagrams of the internal and external parts of a
frog, the students will identify and color the anatomy of the frog and
use this to aid in their frog dissection. It will take your kids about
3-4 class periods to get done, but it is such a useful tool and the kids
get to keep it long after the frog is gone.
The packets are all in pdf format.
Here is the main website (thanks Alaska Fish & Game!!!):

Last lesson of the school year will be posted May 15th, I will be back
in September with new lessons to share!
Have a great week!
