Hi everyone,
This week's lesson is a lesson that I used as part of my introduction to
chemistry. The main goal of this lab is the ability to follow
directions, proper chemical handling procedures, and accuracy.
The students are to make the colors of the rainbow in their test tubes,
and it only works if they follow directions exactly.
You may be able to complete this lab in one class period, but it will
most likely take a period and half, if not two full classes. Be sure to
have plenty of test tubes and racks to save the results until the next
day. Also, very important..... be sure to place a stopper over the test
tubes if they are to stay overnight, because some of the water can
evaporate.

with water with the least amount of tries. Good for estimating volume:
