Me I do it the old fashioned way Guess!

This precision suggested by the factory for short (200 km) runs may be
warranted if you need to know now what your consumption is and have not been
monitoring it. I prefer to keep track of the mileage and amount of oil I add
and calculate consumption as Chuck says, the old fashioned way over a few
thousand km. I also think a trend in consumption is often more useful than a
precise spot rate of oil consumption.
