John 11:25-26
Jesus said unto her, I am the
resurrection, and the life: he that believeth
in me, though he were dead, yet shall he
live: And whosoever liveth and believeth
in me shall never die. Believest thou
this?
Hymn #134, “I Believe In Christ”
Sonnet 512 Reflections on John 11: 25-26

So there we have it friends, in just a word
Our fate depends upon belief or not
Yet some of us can even now be heard
To say “We really don’t believe a lot”.
And that we think belief is not our choice
You either have it or you don’t it seems
According to the devil’s oily voice
We can’t be held accountable for dreams.
And yet, down deep, we know it’s right to say
We've weighed the evidence and consequence
And opted for the unbelieving way
Because we didn’t like obedience .
Don’t fall for Satan’s hopeless argument
We can believe. And live! So let’s repent!
