Mosiah 7:33
But if ye will turn to the Lord with full
purpose of heart, and put your trust in
him, and serve him with all diligence of
mind, if ye do this, he will, according to
his own will and pleasure, deliver you out
of bondage.
Hymn #125, “How Gentle God’s Commands”
Sonnet 516 Reflections on Mosiah 7:33
By Tom Matkin August 21, 2009
Sometimes some people wallow in their sin
They flounder in their wicked willful lives
Believing that there is no way to win
Redemption from that place where misery thrives.
While others blinded by the path they’ve strayed
Don’t even see their bonds of disbelief.
They do not know or trust of promise made
To those who turn to Christ for sweet relief
So if you lie in chains, yet boast of choice
(Deceived beyond all reason all along)
Or guard your precious bondage with a voice
Of bitter hopeless agony. You’re wrong!
From either plight, the lack of faith or sight
There is a path that leads to truth and light.
