Dan -- Try contacting the Planning & Zoning Center in Lansing. Mark Wyckoff is director. That organization is in touch w/hundreds of planners and zoners in Michigan.

Good luck w/this. I think you'll find it nearly impossible to gather people for such long-duration commitment to something they so little understand/appreciate.

Dr. Fletcher is receptive to the idea of teleconferencing, and asked me
to look into it further. LTU has the capability of hosting a
teleconference and a webcast simultaniously. (But only 25 people can
log into one of our webcasts.)

So the next question is: What would be good sites for people across the
state to join it? Do you have any suggestions of people or organizations
I could contact?
