Wind turbines at night: acoustical practice and sound research  white-@earthlink.net
 Jan 26, 2005 10:56 PST

This is an informative report of a valid scientific study of the noise
impact of the 17 turbine “wind park” built in Germany near the Dutch
border. It started operation in 2001.

It turns out that the actual night noise does not match sound
propagation models. At distance of 1500 meters (4921 feet), actual
sound level is 18 dB higher than expected.
