TRANSCRIPTS - Sergeants Major Conference, 1965  Dan Elder [ListMaster]
 Oct 26, 2008 14:49 PST

The earliest public record of senior sergeants coming together happened
during the 1965 AUSA Convention. It was a time for them to discuss
serious and long-lasting issues relating to the professional enlisted
force, many of the items would later become Army policy.

Though the 1964 Conference was probably the first acknowledged major
event, there is no known record of it and this important document,
including transcipts of the discussion held, is now available for free
at http://ncohistory.com.

This document is on every NCO historian's "must have" list, so download
