I have now enjoyed playing `Trope` for about 2 weeks now.The main
difference between `Bloom` and `Trope` seems to me, that `Bloom` has a
more or less STEADY backdrop ( the trembling guitar-like sounds; which
don`t seem to be generative) AGAINST which the `genarative` patterns are
evolving( the piano/bowls/bells-like sounds), whereas `Trope`is
completely `generative` in all its sounds.
It took me a while to be able to characterize the `Trope`sounds, they
vaguely reminded me of something familiar directly from the start, till
this morning when I heard a Mozart composition played on the radio.
It was the `Adagio and Rondo in C-Major` for Glass Harmonica. The
instrument ( crystall glasses filled with water, which are to be
stroked(!) with a violin-bow) was `invented`by Anton Mesmer, a 19th
century physician and astrologist who used the instrument to put his
subjects in hypnotic trance ! ( WIKIPEDIA). Hence the word `mesmerize`.
