Chess Players,
If there were any awards for bsing abilities, I am confident that John
Sexton, our school president, would single-handedly win all of them.
Who else can write a 20 page letter about a tuition increase that only
hints at possibly relevant information in one well hidden sentence?
Honestly, I'm tired of people gift-wrapping pennies into boulders and
entrusting me the arduous task of unpacking it. What happened to fourth
grade current events reports and conversations where you didn't have to
think about the implications of what you say? Aren't you a tad wistful
that these precious commodities have dissipated? Well, we're bringing
them back! Here's the quick and dirty, the thin and skinny, the plain
and simple in 4th grader format!
Who: Grandmaster Zhu Chen (27) 9th in the world, and International
Master Irina Krush (21), NYU Chess Star
What: Acoona World Women's Chess Championship Exhibition (2 exciting
one-hour games w/ expert analysis along the way followed by a brief 10
min tiebreaker if necessary)
Where: ABC Studios in 42nd St. Times Square
When: Tuesday, March 1st, 5:00 pm
Why: Because you love chess and you want to be there to support NYU
How: Get off your lazy ass and take the train to 42nd street times
square
Well, there ya go. Short and sweet (almost). Here's the catch: two
tickets left and first enthusiasts to claim will win. My apologies in
