Thank you for the reply. That's awesome, because that is right around the same time I'm planning on being there anyway. Can you also tell us about the Okinawa Association of America? What do they do? Do they have a website? Are there other branches throughout the US? Thanks, & hope to hear from you soon.

The fourth "Uchinanchu Taikai" will be held from Oct. 11-15....
Okinawa to host fourth International Uchinanchu Festival next October - JapanU
Local 'Kenjinkai' groups are now beginning to organize and plan their
itineraries. Our Okinawa Association of America in Gardena is almost
ready to publicize a travel program; the Chicago Okinawa Kenjinkai and
the Alaska Okinawan Kenjinkai have announced open registration for their travel to the islands.
I am tentatively planning to attend but I have a greater trip in mind...
including Taipei and Shanghai, and possibly Qingdao.
