The East Coast Greenway Inaugural Event!

The East Coast Greenway will be officially inaugurated on Thursday, June
5, in a gala event starting at 11:30 am between the Capitol and 3rd St
on the Mall in Washington. Scheduled participants include Members of
Congress, Cabinet Undersecretaries, the Director of the National Park
Service, and national trails leaders. Walkers and bicyclists from
throughout the area are invited to attend to celebrate the creation of
"the trail connecting cities" and to promote National Trails Day,
"Healthy Trails, Healthy People."
