Beyond Elections <http://www.beyondelections.com/> is coming to a town near
you, and we need your help. Just months away from one of the most important
elections in U.S. history, everyone is talking about elections, but few
people are talking about democracy.
Beyond Elections: Redefining Democracy in the Americas is a new documentary
film, (produced and directed by Michael Fox & Silvia Leindecker, and
distributed by PM

which takes us across the Americas -- from Venezuela's Communal Councils, to
Brazil's Participatory Budgeting, from Constitutional Assemblies to
grassroots movements, recuperated factories and cooperatives -- to attempt
to answer one of the most important questions of our time: What is
Democracy?
With less than two months before this fall's presidential elections, Beyond
Elections is going on the road, and we need your help. We're going to be
traveling through Baltimore, New York, Chicago, Ohio, Madison, and
Wisconsin, Minneapolis and Minnesota, South Dakota, Colorado, Utah, Nevada,
San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas,
Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina and
Virginia, and we're looking to show our film all along the route.
Some of our dates are set, but many are not. Please let us know if you'd be
interested in helping us organize or promote a presentation in your town, or
if you can help out with a donation to make sure we don't run out of gas
between Green River and Salina, Utah. And please check out our website
