Hi Gary,

If you aren't wanting keep things totally stock to restore your 914 for concours, etc. I'd recommend you upgrade to a unit like this

Or.... you could also find a stock 914 airbox that used a paper filter and upgrade it with a K&N air filter. You can get a used stock airbox & K&N filter here:
