Subject: August 17th CDS Post Historic's Event at Laguna Seca
A brief reminder about the Driver's Ed event of August 17th. You are getting this notice even if you are certified as attending. You can go into the Motorsprot registration website to check your status. Right now everyone is registered and certified that has completed the registration process. Charges will be made to noted credit cards later week.
The event is almost full. If you were waiting to sign up, it is best to do so as soon as possible. This will be a great event at the height of summer with the best weather we can have. Tell any friends that may want to join you that time is running out and they need to register quickly.
We wish that we could bring you this DE at a lower cost. Mazda Raceway Laguana Seca is a very costly track to run. The mandatory expenses are way up there. Monterey Bay Region PCA, is not making any money. Any proceeds above our costs are going to charity.
We have a pretty full complement of instructors available to be with you to assist.
There are many drivers that are coming from out of state or the area and will be driving this track for the first time ever. For many this may be the only time that they get to drive this fabled and world renowned track.
Our Chairman, Chris Murray will be getting details out to you as we approach August 17th.
If you have been holding off registering, now is the time. Registrations will be on a first come first serve basis and a waitlist will be established once we achieve the limit in each group. There are only a couple of spaces left in some of the groups.
We will have a continental breakfast, catered lunch and long sleeve tee shirt for all drivers.
You do not need to have a Porsche to register and drive. You will need to have certain technical items to drive. Open cars have the most restrictions, and everyone will need a helmet that passes the rules as listed on the CDS website. Please review those rules.
The Monterey Bay Region PCA team welcomes you to this very special day. We know that it will be forever a cherished memory from the 2009 Historic races where the marque is Porsche.
See you out there.
