The weather forecast for Saturday is a high of 70 degrees and sunny. You may
want to layer since it will only be in the 50s at 7AM. Because there is both
riding and hiking on this trip, you may want to bring a lock for your bike
while you are hiking. See you in the morning.

SATURDAY OCTOBER 24, 2009
MOUNTAIN BIKE ADVENTURE TO ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE WITH CLIFF DWELLING ABOUT 13
MILES FROM PERKINSVILLE
COME ON OUT FOR THIS 13 MILE MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDE (EACH WAY) ON FOREST SERVICE
ROADS
TIME AND PLACE: MEET AT THE SAFEWAY IN CHINO VALLEY AT 6:20 AM
Mark Anderson who worked for the Forest Service for years will lead us to
this amazing archeological site. We will follow Mark to the forest road from
Chino Valley. Once on the forest road, we will ride our bikes to the site.
There will be about a quarter mile of hiking from where we leave the bikes
to the cliff dwelling. You may want to bring hiking shoes. Please bring
enough snacks, water, tools, helmet and everything else you will need for a
6 hour day. You will also want to bring a camera.
I have been waiting to do this for a long time. If it sounds like fun to you
too, come on out for a great day on bikes. Let me know if you are planning
to come on the trip.
