Re: Heart of AZ century in 14 days, some preparation required  Russell L. Carter

Brrrrrr... that was a bit brisk. But the occasional snow
showers climbing out of Wilhoit gave the outing a festive
air. Ed and I had a good time today knocking down loop
number 1. 3 to go. I was thinking of doing #2 on either Fri or
Sat, depending on interest, if any. Then again on Mon and Wed.
Same situation as described below. That is, some scheduling
flexibility available.

So I see that the Heart of AZ century

includes a modest 6000' of climbing in 104 miles.

That's enough to incentivise even fat and lazy me to apply a bit of
extra prep for the next 13 days. So I'm going to ride the SV loop 4
times. Thru a quirk of fate I'm free during the next several weeks,
so I'm thinking of leaving via Iron Springs sometime around 8-10AM.
Leaning toward next Wed, Sat, then Mon, then Thu.

If anybody is interested in joining me please send me an email and if
I can move things around a bit to accomodate your schedule I'd be
happy to. If there seems to be enough interest for a particular ride
I'll firm up the starting time and date a bit earlier than otherwise
and post it back here as a general ride.

Pace will be not be blazing for the first three outings but I intend
to kill myself on the last one. (Maybe it should be on next Wed a
week from now.)

Needless to say I suppose, but these rides could possibly provide a
nice prep for TdT in another two weeks, as well.

Ta,
Russell
