G'day Ants. Good to see that someone is out there.

An interesting quote. It always make it hard for yourself when you start
something with "the greatest single cause". You expect a lot when you read
those first words.

However I think I would have to disagree with the statement. That's not to
say that how Christians live out their lifestyle is not important, I just
don't think that's the reason why most people don't believe in God. A great
percentage of people will not even know that someone is a Christian in a lot
of those cases.

I would lean towards the concept that the unbelieving world simply do not
think that they are sinful. This leads to an irrelevance for God and finally
there is no God, atheism. Everything around us tells us how wonderful we are
and eventually we start to believe it.

The other spectrum is those who do think that God does exist in some form
('the Real') and get caught up in pluralism and tolerance. Tolerance no
longer means that you endure someone else's options even though you view
then as wrong. Rather tolerance today means that you can not even say it is
wrong. In a pluralistic society people seam happy for others to have
religious beliefs as long as you don't claim exclusivity when it comes to
truth and you keep it private. What is true for you may not be true for me.

The question remains, as an individual what can or should we do about a) the
lifestyles of Christians and b) those who deny Christ.

To start the ball rolling ... We should examine out lives in the light of
scripture and repent, knowing that God calls us to obedience. Paul was big
on bringing people to obedience and maturity in their faith. God is
merciful, yet shall we keep on sinning?

YIC.

Nope! There's noone here anymore, they all left when the plague came.

If you want discussion, ponder/discuss the following quote...

"The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians who
acknowledge Jesus with their lips and then walk out the door and deny Him by
their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds
unbelievable." --Brennan Manning
