My favorite piano music

I'm one of the fortunate ones...cut my eye teeth on the classics, starting
when I was four years old. Played my first public dance when I was 6 years
old. I accompanied my grandfather who called square dances and played
fiddle after he called farm auctions in Nebraska. His regular accompanist
was ill so I subbed. I thought everyone could do that.
I've run a dance band, played in lots of others (including a cracker jack
Dixieland band in Corpus Christi, Texas), played gospel music, was a church
organist for a total of 41 years, and currently substitute at First
Presbyterian churches in Farmington and Aztec, New Mexico.
I love accompanying, and do that at Aztec High and Koogler Middle School
two
days a week in Aztec. I taught private piano and organ lessons for 45
years.
Right now I'm putting together a five piano 10 hands kickoff concert in
September for Showcase Concerts here in Farmington. I'll be one of the
pianists.
I'm a published composer...don't have enough time to do what I'd like along
those lines, but since I retired as administrative assistant at the
newspaper in Carlsbad NM, I have five published pieces for bass instrument
and organ...written originally for bassoon and organ...and four handbell
numbers.
Life is beautiful, and musical! How about you? What's your favorite piano
music? And your history?
