Hi Edie, great to hear from you.
I started playing the piano in the traditional way, piano lessons and
so. I never liked playing from notes, so I tried to learn the piece by
heart, acting as if I was reading from notes. So, I love to play by ear.
Later, I got fascinated by blues, and I gained quite some virtuosity at
that. I also started to compose a lot of songs.
Now that I'm getting older, I have come to the conclusion that time is
running out to do everything I'd like to do. So, I stopped performing,
stopped playing in bands, etc. I like to work out a lot of compositions,
and even for that, I find that I have too little time. So, the main
thing now is to record things well.
I'm looking at recording by using both audio and MIDI, so that the
keystrokes will be preserved and it will be possible to print out the
notation from that.
Do you or anyone else have experience in that?
Love to hear more,
Quintessence
