Group War Trance Symptoms  Joe O'Donnell
 Feb 23, 2007 00:18 PST
I have come to be skeptical towards the psychoanalytic-mechanistic viewpoint in
psychohistory. However, I think enough evidence has been shown to demonstrate
that their is meaning of some type in certain patterns. 2 recent media events
strike me as being in the 'dangerous woman/killer mommy' pattern. The news
coverage of Britney's head shaving and Anna Nicole Smith's death and pretty
strange burial process. I think these 2 events fit in very well as war
precursors. In the case of the Britney news, I know 2 successful and astute
public media people proclaim 'thius isn't news! why is it over the news like
this?' And they are right, why is it all over the news? And why in an interview
did Britney make strange comments to the effect of 'people home with babies
understand.' I think it's because the event is being played out as a symbolic
'out of control/dangerous powerful woman' group psychology event. In particular
I just came from an anti Iraq war event were the main speaker
brought up that point-'How can we have a war situation going on and people are
focused on Britney?' This and other observations of this news event do strike me
as the 'dangerous woman/war precursor' group psychological symbol pattern.

In the case of the news event of Anna Nicole Smith's death, the most recent
story sounds like a text book case of the group psychological symbol pattern of
'fusing with mommy in death.':

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Anna Nicole Smith will be buried in the Bahamas,
alongside her son, it was announced Thursday after a tearful judge left the
decision up to the attorney for the model's baby daughter. ...
The judge, who choked up frequently and sometimes blubbered as he explained
his decision, compromised and gave custody to Milstein. And the judge made it
abundantly clear what he felt should be done.
"I want her buried with her son in the Bahamas," he said through tears. "I
want them to be together."
