Ask = Boundary condition  Joy Rizki PD
 Jul 03, 2007 06:13 PDT

Dear Sir

I want to know the detail about boundary condition

For example, in the GB-example/Shear simulation

In the file gb_shear.in
Line 39-46 there are flag "T" or "F"
indicating whether the segment is to be consider active during simulation.

While the grain boundary is set to "T" as active segment,
how about the upper cell? in this case, the lines:

45 200.d0 200.d0 F
46 -200.d0 200.d0 F

This segmet (the upper boundary) is set to "F" as inactive segment
which will not trigger nonlocality

My question is:
What is the boudary condition of the segment
which is set to inactive segment at the cell or model boudary?
(for example, above segment in line 45 and 46)
Is it "Periodic boundary", "Fix boundary", or something else?

Thank you for your attention

Best Regards

Joy
