Hi Greg,
I know this may sound strange, but THOSE views, yes, and even those emotions are something special to treasure.
Imagine, if you will, the emptiness of those who have never had experience of such love.
Imagine too, the joy in your Mom's soul as she looks down on the expression of love that you can openly "let go" as you cross that amazing scene .
If we really believe in a God that is LOVE and kindness, then we have to believe that our kinfolk have a place for us to share with them, when ever that time may be?
Any one who says "time is a great healer" needs a slap , because they obviously have no idea ! All time does is numb the pain , and allow you to begin to remember , with a fondness , all the wonderful memories, the views, the smells, , you know, all the things you are struggling with right now.

Thank you, David. My grief is still there, every day. Last night I cried on the way home, going past the Golden Gate Bridge, and watching the fog roll in off the Pacific Ocean, sights my mom loved. I just don't know when I'll be able to do that drive without such emotion.

One of the special things about the "ordained life" is that I can "be there" for any one who needs me.
A certain well known owner of a very special guitar company OF LONDON, was able to share such a loss with me and we even looked at plans for his Mum's funeral.
If any one is in need of prayer or "words" on the 'net I am always so proud to be able to be there.
