New Opening! The Burning Sun

Sorry, I resend once more because I forgot to send the
material along :).
Title: New Opening: The burning sun
Type : Opening of The Word of God
Read Ecc 11:7. It says,” Truly the light is sweet, and
a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the
sun:”. Read it carefully. Do you see something strange
in that verse? Remember what your doctor said, “Don’t
look at the sun directly, for it can make you blind!”
Surely that verse is very strange, because in simple
words, it says that looking at the sun is a pleasant
thing!! So it should have other meaning!
What does it mean by the sun? In Matt 17:2 we read,”
And was transfigured before them: and his face did
shine AS THE SUN, and his raiment was white as the
light.” And also Rev 1: 16b,” and his countenance was
AS THE SUN shineth in his strength.”. (Countenance
means apperance). So, the sun may symbolize Jesus our
Lord. We can say that when we look at the sun means
we look at Him. And off course, when you look at the
REAL sun, our eyes will be burnt, but looking at ‘the
sun’ which is Jesus, it should be that it is
pleasantful to your eyes!!
Now we discuss it further. Ecc 11:7 has something more
for you. Read it again! “Truly the light is sweet, and
a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the
sun.” Ask yourself, is it really that looking at
Jesus is a pleasant thing? Looking at Him means how we
SEE everything about Him. For instance His Word. Do
you SEE that reading your Bible is more pleasant than
reading magazines or watching TV? Do you see that your
prayer time is the most adorable thing in your life?
Or is it a very hard moment for you that you almost
can hear the clock ticking very slowly in your head?
ten seconds have passed.... Two minutes have passed...
Uh.... still ten minutes to go but you already have
nothing else worth saying.... Or do you perceive that
you dedicate your ministry as serving God Himself,
therefore you are willing to make sacrifices to please
Him? Or is it just a mere ‘social obligation’ to you
and nothing more than your other social activities?
Or even worse, do you just do your ministry simply
because the Church PAYS YOU TO DO THAT? Is Jesus more
worthy to you than your car, your hobby, your job,
your spouse, your family, or yourself?
If you SEE that the world is more pleasantful than
Jesus, it means it is not pleasant anymore for you to
behold the sun! As The Lord is symbolized as the sun
in Ecc 11:7, it means our Lord has the characteristic
of a sun! The sun has capability to scorch everything!
For those who can’t feel the pleasure of looking at
Him, the sun will be scorching! Read James 1: 10-11.
It says,”(10) But the rich, in that he is made low:
because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.
(11) For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning
heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower
thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it
perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his
ways. If the person is ‘rich’ with all worldly things,
with science and knowledge, title and degrees, wealth,
etc, but not rich in his/her prayer, ministry, or
knowledge about Him and His Kingdom, the person will
find that God is scorching until the person is
withered up! Remember Luk 12: 20-21,” But God said
unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be
required of thee: then whose shall those things be,
which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up
treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
For those of you who already can look at Him
pleasantlully, don’t think that the sun will not
scorch you! Yes, it will. Following Jesus doesn’t mean
that everything is easy for you. You have to carry
your cross, feel the rejection by people around you
because you do so many ‘stupid’ things in their eyes
such as going to church too often, must love your
enemy, etc. For them those things are completely
wasteful and won’t generate any results! Some even
suffer affliction for being a Christian. As in my
country, Christians are treated as second class
minority. If you work in governmental departments,
don’t ever think to advance in your career if you are
a Christian! There are already many Christians without
faith have been converted to other religion to avoid
that. And we already have several people who are
imprisoned for being converted to Christian because
government is afraid that they will influence others!
And in some areas people will throw stones at your
house if you make a prayer gathering, and we already
have hundreds of churches being burnt since 1996! In
some hotspot areas, you will be stabbed down if
people know that you are a Christian! So it burns you
too as it has burnt me up! But the effect must be
different to you!
Then it takes us to another opening. Read SOS 1: 5-6a
It says,” I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of
Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of
Solomon. Look not upon me, because I am black, because
the sun hath looked upon me “ comely in this verses
means splendid, or beautiful. Yes! Offcourse at times
you feel like you are burnt by hardship, pressure, or
even tribulation. You feel like you are in the furnace
of affliction (Isa 48:10). But the difference is, when
the others are withered, you are become beautiful!
Yes, you become black (SOS 1:5), but you are comely!
In the world’s eyes you are nothing, but in Lord’s
eyes you are beautiful, you are splendid, AND YOU ARE
WORTHY TO BECOME HIS BRIDE!!!
Just remember that Jesus also suffered from
affliction. In John 2:17 it says’And his disciples
remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine
house hath eaten me up’. It happened when Jesus
cleared the temple and people opposed Him! Will you
also rejoice of being eaten up, being burnt? Then
stand frim in your faith! Praise the Lord!
