RDAS early ejection

Hello RDAS list,
I had a less-than-optimal flight Saturday—my RDAS Compact deployed the
drogue during the motor burn. I cannot understand why. This unit has
worked flawlessly for me up until now. The recorded flight data is only
7 seconds or so. For some reason the unit stopped recording after that.
After the flight, the RDAS was buzzing continuously—one continuous tone.
The rocket was a 6-motor cluster, with 3 K’s lit on the ground and an
RDAS igniter board lighting 3 more motors at 2 seconds into the flight.
The early drogue deployment happened about 1 second into the flight, and
the second set of motors never airstarted (fortunately). I had the RDAS
set up for smart recovery with main deployment at 800 ft. The igniter
board was set for 2 sec on both channels. A single 9V battery powered
the RDAS plus expansion board. This setup has worked in the past with no
problems.
One curious symptom that may or may not be related: the RDAS did not
recognize the igniter board (gave 4 long buzzes), although in ground
testing and previous flights the igniter board worked fine anyway,
despite the error.
Do you have any thoughts as to why this happened? I am reluctant to use
the unit again until I know why.
Thanks in advance for your help,
