Hi
I was flying at the weekend. A large 2 stage 4 inch thing, 11,000ft.
RDAS (tiny v4.3) GPS fix and telemetry ok until it went over a large
mountain and the rocket landed on the other side of of it. Anyway the
ground track data from the RDAS gave me the line and after a long hike
the Marshalll found the rocket. It was perfect, chutes had deployed and
no sign of a hard landing.
I wanted to get all GPS of the unit. There is no altimeter data for this
flight to down load. I do not know why. On connection to the PC there
is one GPS file for the correct time, 190000 bits of data. The problem
is it will not download. It gets so far, anywhere from 0-40000 of
1900000 and then a message about communication failure appears.
I have tried it on another PC and the same happens.
They will both be running XP SP3 with all updates. The RDAS interface
is version 4.2. I have reduced the data transmition rates of the com
port settings (where the Tiny comes up in the port section of device
manager. I doesn’t help.
I note that the drivers are 2006.
I do not really know what I am doing>
Any ideas?
I wondered if it was possible to download the data direct from the GPS
board.
